|2009-10-16 12:11:36 Jerry Biggers - Daily Show with Jon Stewart interviewWell, I don't know if the above outburst is really from Stephen Colbert - trying to exceed his usual hyperbole. Or someone else. In either case - in very poor taste.
Dr. Burns, I would like to congratulate you on the interview with Jon Stewart. He seemed, at times, to be trying to draw you into negative comments, but you did not take the bait! In general, it was the most fair-minded, objective discussion of Ayn Rand that I have seen since, well, the Mike Wallace interview in 1960!

|2009-10-18 06:43:10 Joseph - Good interviewHi,
I really enjoyed your interview on the Daily Show. I'm a former liberal turned moderate, but well aware that John is a Democrat.Honestly though, he is probably one of the most level headed people out there. Particularly in the last week I think he's really shown that (calling out ALL the media for not busing Acorn, tearing apart CNN etc.), and also for having you on and promoting your book.
He still took his funny shots at he crazies (glenn beck) etc but I think he gave you an honest interview. Better than any of the shouting heads you'll see on cnn/fox/msnbc. The "Stephen Colbert" comment above me reflects accurately on your point, how she was ostracized for being an athiest, and I agree that will be less of an issue now.
The one thing John mentioned that I wish would change on the right is how they sort of demonize intellectuals or automatically associate it with elitism.
Anyways I enjoyed the interview in both what you and John had to say. I wish there were more ...

|2010-03-16 18:35:01 Michael Caution - the ONLY moral systemI just watched your Columbia Business School lecture, jenniferburns.org/speaking
I just wanted to be picky about one thing in your overall good lecture. You had talked about capitalism being the most moral social system. However, to be exact Rand would have said that capitalism is the ONLY moral social system and all the others are immoral (communism, socialism, fascism, theocracy, democracy, collectivism, statism, etc.). This may have been a slip-up which you didn't intend but I thought I might point it out just in case.
Also, was that Harry Binswanger in that audience near the end of the video?
