Speaking
Professor Burns is available for public speaking engagements. She has been a guest lecturer at Harvard, Columbia Business School, UC Berkeley, UC Santa Barbara, Rice University, and the Cato Institute (WDC). She was recently honored as a Distinguished Lecturer by the Organization of American Historians.
In 2009, Dr. Burns’ national book tour included talks at the Harvard Club of San Francisco, New York Public Library, UVA’s Miller Center Forum for Public Affairs, Margaret Mitchell House (Atlanta), the Tattered Cover Bookstore (Denver), Kepler’s Books (Menlo Park), and Powell’s Books (Portland).
